Sri Lanka dazzles us with its spice-laden air, golden temples, lush jungles, and flavours that dance on the tongue—and we’re here to savour it all. Our journey begins in seaside Negombo, where we dive straight into the island’s spirit with a seafood welcome and warm introductions. In Dambulla, we roam the lively fish market, scale the majestic Sigiriya Rock Fortress, and indulge in a Sri Lankan-style barbecue under the stars. The next day, ancient Polonnaruwa and its timeless ruins await, followed by lunch with a local family and a wild safari through Minneriya National Park.

In Kandy, we wander through vibrant produce markets, breathe in the aromas of Matale’s spice gardens, and discover the sacred Temple of the Tooth. The city’s charm comes alive over dinner in a Sinhalese home, where stories and recipes are shared with laughter. Our final stop is Colombo, where we stroll through its bustling heart before gathering one last time for a farewell feast. Climb to the summit, a rewarding challenge, and admire the ruins of the ancient palace. Day 3

A Day in Dambulla

After breakfast, set out for Polonnaruwa. Take a bicycle to explore the ancient quadrangle complex, where well-preserved temples, tombs and stupas stand as echoes of a grand past. Wander through the remains of a seven-storey royal palace, marvel at the rock temple of Gal Vihara, and behold the statue of 12th-century king Parakrama I.

For lunch, visit a local grandmother’s home and learn the art of making dhal curry and pol sambol from scratch. Try your hand at shredding coconut using a traditional scraper tool — an authentic taste of Sri Lankan culture.

You can depart anytime. Generally, there are no inclusions on the tour on the last day. The hotel check-out time is usually 1100 hours or 1200 hours.

Children under 12 are not allowed on this Jrny. Children above 12 are welcome as long as they are accompanied by an adult.

Yes, there are a few overland journeys, the longest being from Negombo to Dambulla and Kandy to Colombo. These drives are broken up with scenic stops and activities.

Absolutely, a variety of vegetarian meal options will be available. Vegan options may be limited but available.
