Upon arrival at Delhi, we meet at a pre-defined meeting point at 9am to commence our whisky adventure.

Meet your Maestro, the Whisky Advisor and your fellow travellers before embarking on a drive northward through rural India from the bustling capital to the tranquil town of Indri, home to one of India's most celebrated malt distilleries. At Indri, be one of the first to visit the gleaming new visitor centre. Your guided distillery tour unveils the intricate processes behind their award-winning spirits, from the uniquely Indian 6 row barley to their vast warehouses packed with a myriad of wine casks, something unusual in Indian distilleries. The comprehensive tour, designed for guests of The Whisky Advisor will culminate in tasting of some of Indri’s fine single malts.

As the afternoon draws to a close, check into your comfortable hotel at Kurukshetra and enjoy an early dinner at your leisure, before resting up for the exciting days ahead.

Upon reaching Himmaleh Spirits Distillery, prepare to discover one of India's most innovative spirit producers. Your comprehensive tour reveals their unique approach to crafting distinctive spirits in the shadow of the world's highest mountains. Learn about their water source from Himalayan streams and their specialised production methods that set them apart in India's emerging craft spirits scene. It is not often that one gets to taste spirits at a distillery in its early days and follow its progress in the years to come. As daylight begins to fade, arrive at Jim Corbett National Park. Check into Jim's Jungle retreat, a premier jungle resort. Wake to the gentle chorus of birdsong as dawn breaks over Corbett National Park, marking a refreshing shift from your whisky explorations to India's remarkable wildlife. Your early morning begins with steaming chai and light refreshments before setting out on your first safari of the day.

Venture into the wilderness aboard your exclusive jeep, where expert naturalists guide you through the park's diverse landscapes. Threading through dense sal forests, grasslands and riverine belts, each turn presents opportunities to spot the park's magnificent inhabitants. Keep your binoculars ready for glimpses of the majestic Bengal tiger, herds of wild elephants moving silently through the undergrowth, and countless bird species painting the canopy with flashes of colour.

Return to Jim's Jungle Retreat for a leisurely lunch on the veranda, sharing stories of your morning's adventures whilst overlooking the flowing Kosi River. Arrive at the historic Rampur Distillery, where traditions blend seamlessly with modern craftsmanship. Here, amidst the storied walls, discover the meticulous processes behind their internationally acclaimed single malts. Visiting Rampur Distillery is an exclusive privilege as it does not offer regular tours. The team at Rampur have graciously extended the tour to friends of The Whisky Advisor.

As the afternoon progresses, complete your journey back to Delhi, reflecting on four days of extraordinary experiences — from world-class spirits to wild tigers, each moment contributing to a truly memorable Indian adventure. You have the option of ending the trip with some whisky shopping in Gurgaon. Your driver will ensure a comfortable arrival at your designated Delhi location, marking the end of your whisky and wildlife odyssey.
