About this Jrny

Get ready for a journey to meet the wild in all its glory in this extraordinary 10-day adventure through the heart of East Africa, where the timeless rhythms of the great migration await. Begin in the tranquil town of Arusha before venturing into Tarangire National Park, home to majestic elephant herds and ancient baobabs. Tanzania's magnificent landscape filled with sweeping lush grass plains, seemingly endless savannahs, and thick green forests have enamoured people like Theodore Roosevelt and Ernest Hemingway, the latter even penning a famous short story set in the backdrop of the snow-capped Kilimanjaro.

Witness one of nature's most spectacular phenomena as over two million wildebeest, accompanied by hundreds of thousands of zebras and gazelles, make their annual circular journey of nearly 2,000 kilometres through the Serengeti-Mara ecosystem. This ancient cycle, guided by the rains and the quest for fresh grass, sees the herds face treacherous river crossings where massive Nile crocodiles lie in wait. The dramatic spectacle reaches its pinnacle between July and October when the herds brave the Mara River, creating heart-stopping moments as they plunge into the turbulent waters.

From the Central and Northern Serengeti's sweeping savannah plains to the legendary Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, every moment of this safari promises encounters with Africa's most iconic wildlife. Watch as lions, leopards and cheetahs stalk their prey, while spotted hyenas and vultures follow in the migration's wake. This incredible journey concludes in the ancient volcanic caldera of Ngorongoro, home to some of the densest concentrations of wildlife in Africa.
