No, most intercity travel is conducted by flights. The only extended road journey is the Great Ocean Road tour (approximately 10–12 hours), while all other city transfers and sightseeing drives are relatively short and manageable.

In September, the Gold Coast and Cairns enjoy pleasant spring weather with daytime temperatures around 22–28°C, ideal for beach visits and reef excursions, with lower humidity compared to summer. Sydney experiences mild and comfortable conditions, averaging 18–24°C, making it perfect for city sightseeing and coastal walks. Melbourne can be slightly cooler and changeable, with temperatures ranging between 15–22°C, so layering is recommended. Overall, September offers favourable weather across all destinations, ideal for exploring both cities and natural attractions.
