Fly Helsinki - Ivalo - Inari

Meet your group and proceed to the airport for your flight to Ivalo. Ivalo is a small town situated in the northern part of Finland, in the region of Inari. It is the administrative center of Inari municipality and serves as a gateway to the vast wilderness of Finnish Lapland. The town is located along the Ivalo River, surrounded by stunning landscapes characterized by pristine forests, lakes, and the unique beauty of the Arctic tundra.

Upon arrival at Ivalo, you will be transferred by coach to Inari, situated in the breathtaking Lapland region of northern Finland. Early Winter Snowmobile Safari

Experience the arctic nature, give snowmobiling a try, and drive off to the forest on our early winter snowy routes! Snowmobiling is big fun and a common hobby for a local. There is unlimited wilderness, lots of tracks and beautiful sceneries all around you once you get on a snowmobile. All the snowmobiling activities are shared and start with the instructions.

Note:
Snowmobiling is a weather-dependent activity. In the absence of sufficient snow, it will be replaced by a guided hiking experience. The driver of the snowmobile must be at least 18 years of age with a driver’s license valid in Finland.

Lake Inari and More

After breakfast, get ready to venture into the wild! We’re moving from the Wilderness Juuta to the enchanting Aurora Cabin in Wilderness Inari. Today we visit a reindeer farm and meet a local reindeer herder and his reindeer. This offers a unique and memorable experience, providing an opportunity to learn about these fascinating animals and the culture of the people who raise them.Inari Village is also a gateway to outdoor adventures, with endless opportunities for hiking, fishing, kayaking, and wildlife watching in the surrounding wilderness.

What does a reindeer eat in the wintertime? What does a reindeer’s muzzle feel like? How does a reindeer survive outside in -45 degrees C? It's time to find out! This visit is one of the top memories for our visitors. At the reindeer farm you will learn interesting information about the reindeer and the life of a reindeer herder and Sámi culture.

Drive to Rovaniemi

After breakfast, your drive from Inari to Rovaniemi takes you through the picturesque landscapes of Finnish Lapland, offering a glimpse of the region's unique beauty. You will traverse scenic roads surrounded by snow-covered forests and pristine wilderness.

As you head south towards Rovaniemi, the capital of Lapland and the official hometown of Santa Claus, the landscape gradually transforms. The road may lead through charming villages and open expanses, with occasional glimpses of frozen lakes and rivers. Keep an eye out for the iconic Arctic Circle, which you'll cross on your journey.

The tour starts and ends in Helsinki-Vantaa Airport (HEL). It is the main gateway for travelers arriving in the capital city.

All travellers will require a valid passport to enter Finland. The passport should have a validity for at least six months beyond the completion of travel. Most travellers will require a visa for entry into the EU/schengen area which Finland is part of. Please check with the nearest Embassy or Consulate as immigration laws are very strict and entry may be refused.
